MC Anime Club!

Fall 2010

The purpose of this page is to narrow down the shows that have been suggested for the fall semester to 7 titles which we will then preview during the second meeting on September 9th. (The first meeting, Sept. 2nd, will be Movie Night again due to many of our members attending AnimeFest in Dallas)

If you would like to add titles to this list, contact us and let us know. Nominations for Fall shows will continue through July, and in August we will be voting to narrow the list down to 7. Please limit nominations to shows that are 26 episodes or less, if possible. As usual, my list of DVD titles I own can be found here.

In addition to watching complete anime series, we're going to try to work in a couple of theme nights as well, where we would watch episodes from a variety of shows all centered around one theme. These may include: Comedy, shoujo (girls' anime), sports, music, and more. We'll be discussing this more as we get closer to the fall semester. I would like for us to try two different theme nights this semester, in addition to our usual Halloween theme night on October 28th and Christmas theme night on December 16th. This means that after the September 9th meeting, we'll have 9 non-themed meetings during the semester in which we'll watch our selected series. This means we can watch either 1) two long series and one short series, or 2) one long series and three short series.
